The world is currently facing a daunting challenge from the COVID-19 pandemic. In early August, the number of infected cases surpassed 20 million, with more than 730,000 fatalities. Unfortunately, the infection rates are rising again, leading to the second wave of infections. Several countries have been hit hard, including the United States, Brazil, and India. The US remains the worst affected country, with over 6 million cases and 185,000 deaths.

Brazil and India are also struggling, with over 3.8 million cases and 65,000 deaths and 3.5 million cases and 63,000 deaths respectively. The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed its concern over the increasing number of cases in Europe, Canadian News Today which shows a rapid resurgence of the pandemic. Spain, France, and the United Kingdom have become the new epicenter of the pandemic in Europe.
